Rooms will be available from 4pm – 6.00pm on the day of arrival but if you are wanting to arrive earlier or later than these times please give us a ring beforehand and we will try our best to accommodate your request.
If you are wanting to arrive earlier then we will do our best to accommodate this request. If you want to arrive later than 6pm this is fine as we now have a self check in system which is done by Whatsapp. So you can always check in at your leisure especially if you are wanting to make the most of your day. Please do let us know in advance so we can arrange this for you.
We will always ask for credit/debit card details to secure the room but will not take anything off your card until departure except where a deposit is required.
When booking 2 rooms are more for 3 nights or more then a 20% non refundable deposit will be taken off your card to secure a big booking. This will get deducted off your stay. If you cancel the booking then please refer to cancellation policy below
Cancellation within 7 days before the booked accommodation date will incur a 100% charge of anticipated revenue. The full cost of all days booked will be charged to the card provided, as security. If the room is re-let, then the cancellation charges will be wavered or reduced depending on whether or not the anticipated revenue is achieved. Any change in respect of the booked dates even if the client rebooks a new period at a later date will be classed as a cancellation. Group bookings of more than 2 rooms, the cancellation period will be 28 days unless agreed in writing between the parties.
Your failure to arrive for a Booking by 7pm on the first night of the Scheduled Stay will be treated as a cancellation made on less than 5 days notice and a Late Cancellation Charge may be made.
If you anticipate that you will fail to arrive for a Booking by the 7pm deadline, you must let the Kettle House know and agree an alternative arrival time which will replace the 7pm deadline.
If after arrival you fail to stay for the full period the Kettle House will, if it so wishes, be entitled to recover from you the full amount as reimbursement for revenue lost as a result of the room sitting empty.
Although we will do our utmost to avoid cancelling a booking at any time, we reserve the right to do so. However should this arise we will endeavour to offer an alternative accommodation where possible. Should this occur during your stay we will offer a full refund, less the daily rate for each day or part thereof that you may have occupied the room.
We simply adore dogs and therefore we are dog friendly but don’t forget to keep your dogs on a lead. If you are venturing out for the evening then please do not leave your dog in your room alone as its so much kinder to take them with you. Charges do apply please ask.
We know accidents happen from time to time, so if you have any problems, please let us know so that we can rectify or replace the item.
Any damage may incur a charge, to cover materials and labour. This cost could be charged to the guests card.
The Kettle House does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to any cash, money, jewellery or other articles of value.
The Kettle House does not accept liability or damage to any other property of a Guest, but in certain circumstances may be liable to make good any loss or damage. No liability is accepted for any consequential loss arising from loss of or damage to property of the Guest. The Kettle House does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to motor cars or other vehicles of any kind, or any property lost in them or to motorbikes, bicycles, horses or other live animals including pets.
We don’t mind you having food in your rooms, there is a Mini-market in Fort Augustus where you can get snacks etc.
A wee reminder for parents, children should be supervised at all times during their stay at the Kettle House especially as we are close to a main road. Many thanks
Kettle House is a Non Smoking establishment. However, guests are welcome to smoke outside but please use the cigarette bins provided.
